Honda Transalp for Hilary
A dual sport Honda Transalp purchased for some off road fun and for the long trip from Skelleftea, Sweden, to Prague, Czech Republic, in the spring.
So Johan and his father are planning this amazing two month trip around the United States in the spring. That is great for someone who can take 2 months off of work (which they both can and keep their jobs), but I unfortunately can’t… and we only have two KLRs in the States, so there wouldn’t be much room for me :(
So I have to have my own fun while they are gone. I’ve decided to hang out with my friends in Prague this spring. Prague is a great city, but I just know I will want to escape. So I wanted to have access on a motorcycle.
Now mySuzuki DR350 is awesome. But it is not a good motorcycle for long trips, such as this one to Prague from Skelleftea, which is about 2000km plus. That would definitely give me monkey butt… not good!
So, I decided to convince Johan to buy me a Honda Transalp. If I were rich, I would want a BMW F 650 GS. But I’m not. A Transalp is a great alternative for me. It’s heavy, but not too tall for me (I’m 5’3”, or 160cm), and it is a dual sport! Just in case I get the urge to go off road… which I do all the time :)
Luckily while we were in Stockholm we had a chance to check out a Transalp 92… love at first site! Will be bringing her home at the end of November!
Now for the eye candy :)
