Lava in New Mexico
Entering New Mexico, Johan and Lars start seeing some trees again!
Day 13 May 29th
We left Phoenix and headed east, saw a few more cacti:
Plan was to take road 60 north but we ended up on 87 to Payson, we still started seeing some forest:
Drove through some badly burnt land around Heber and Overgaard.
Entering New Mexico:
Hit 20 000 miles on Hilary’s motorcycle:
Found the start of some huge lava field heading north towards Grants:
And further up we had this steep ridge on one side and the big lava field on the other side:
